Charitha Kudige’s journey began with a family background in business, but a transformative experience during college shifted her focus towards social work. After visiting an orphanage, she became passionate about helping underprivileged children, particularly those with special needs. Although she initially followed her family’s entrepreneurial path, she remained committed to her passion for social work, which led to her founding Sinchana Foundation in 2014.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce from R.V. College and certifications in Special Education, particularly in Autism and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). She gained practical experience volunteering and later working as a Special Educator at an NGO, which inspired her to create Sinchana Foundation. Charitha’s personal mission is to continue growing Sinchana Foundation into a comprehensive solution for individuals with special needs.
After taking a break from her business Jaya was recommended to join an NGO by her friend. It piqued her interest after visiting that place so she started volunteering there. After meeting her partner Charitha there one day it struck her that they could start their own organization.
“I see working with these children as an opportunity to be a source of support in these children’s lives and this work gives me the utmost satisfaction.”
